Knife Set

A knife set, as the name suggests, is a collection of knives. There are many different types of knife sets. Some are geared primarily for kitchen use. Others are meant for hunting or fishing applications.

A kitchen knife set will usually come with a block designed to hold the blades. These often include upwards of twelve items. However, some may only include five or six traditional blades. Chef's knives, santokus, serrated blades, and paring knives are commonly included in these kitchen collections.

A hunting knife set will usually be much smaller than that of a kitchen. They often come with foldable carrying cases for convenient storage and transportation. Different knives are formatted for performing such tasks as skinning, boning, and filleting.
